I began my career at the Trauma Resolution Center while attending the MSW program at Barry University. At TRC I helped individuals reprocess their traumas using Traumatic Incident Reduction. I transitioned to a Carrfour residential program that was under the TRC umbrella. In this position I created the curriculum, facilitated groups daily and treated the dual-diagnosis clients with individual therapy and EMDR. When I relocated to Palm Beach Gardens, I gained employment at Ambrosia Treatment Center. I helped grow the trauma track, facilitated process groups, provided individual counseling and conducted EMDR sessions.
Prior to relocating to Lighthouse Point to be with my wife, I was owner and primary therapist at my own private practice, which focused on maximizing one’s potential, depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction in Jupiter, Fl. I use a combination of evidenced based practice, Buddhist principles and result-oriented interventions. I created a five pronged approach, wherein I help my clients reprocess their life trauma’s, keep them accountable, implement self–acceptance practices, teach the power of forgiveness or letting go and help them develop new positive coping skills to enhance their daily lives. I help many of my clients shed the victim/ martyr identity by utilizing these tools. I realize that each client is an individual with different needs so I cater the interventions I choose based on the problems identified by the client. I realize there is not a one size fits all approach to healing.
I am certified and trained in two evidence based trauma therapies EMDR and TIR, which reprocess trauma. I have a holistic approach incorporating mindfulness, breathing and meditation. I provide life coaching and have worked with professional athletes and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies teaching them how to handle stress and regulate their thoughts and emotions. The theme I live by is:There is always another way. I love to sing, dance, and write songs for my band Charlie Bucket. My wife and I own Akasha Academics where we help children from 6-12 grade complete virtual school all over the state of Florida as well as tutoring them in any subjects where they may need extra help. You could say helping children learn and grow is a passion of ours. Our philosophy is a mindful education at your fingertips. We don’t only teach students how to learn but teach them how to think. In our free time we love to travel, ride bicycles, paddleboard and see live music. Some of my other hobbies include snowboarding, sneaker collecting, making music in our studio and playing with our Boston Terrier Stella Blue. One of my favorite quotes is that in any situation you have three options: you can accept the situation, change the situation, or leave the situation. All else is madness. I help my clients decide what they need to thrive and integrate it into their lifestyles so it becomes who they are and part of their daily practice.
